Barbera is an Italian varietal that produces a medium to full bodied, deep colored wine with low tannins and high acidity. The grapes come from our friends at Karmere Vineyards in Amador County. It has flavors of plum, black cherry, raspberry and spices. It pairs well with tomato based Italian foods, oven roasted chicken, and for the more adventerous, rabbit.
